The Metamorphosis of Lydia B

The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly.--Richard Bach

Here we are, enrolled in the Applied Behavioral Science Capstone! So many fascinating topics in our chosen discipline. I look forward to the next 5 weeks with all of you other butterflies.

What's a butterfly garden without butterflies?--Roy Rogers

I have always collected butterflies, but never realized until recently that I myself have gone through a metamorphosis such as the butterfly does. I have taken quite a long time to get focused on getting my Bachelor's degree, but I will have it in 5 weeks. I will then be ready to fly!

Hi, my name is Lydia. I am a 50 year old divorced returning student with three beautiful young adult children. I am a mixed blend of white, (English, Irish, German, Welsh, and Native American) and my children are half white and half Persian. We are all into enjoying various cultures. My oldest daughter got her BFA in photography last May, my son is studying computer game programming, and my youngest wants to be a veterinarian.

I got my new job a bit early as a social worker (3 weeks ago) and I have already applied the theories of human behavior to help analyze individuals in my community by offering case management to seniors who need help with housing, Medicare, memory care placement, food stamps, mental disorders and related issues. It's very rewarding work when you see that the assistance you provided helped someone or even changed their life. I couldn't have done this without my education from Ashford University.
