The story is set in the neear future. Saun is a bottle cap collector, and as he stumbles upon a new bottle cap, he discovers ''The Lost Thing''. Saun plays fetch withe Thing all afternoonimmediately feels he needs to find ''The Lost Thing's'' owner. After looking tiresely for its owner, he travells to his friend's house, Pete, to seek suggestions on where to bring him, as Sean remarks, ''Pete has an opinion on everything''. '' he didn't come from anywhere, or belong anywhere, '' Pete says, 4 minutes and 51 seconds into the movie. Saun had no choice but to bring the Thing to his abode. His parents took a disliking to the Thing, thinking about possible diseases it could be carrying, and its dirty feet. Saun takes the thing to the shed for the night, and feeds it old christmas lights and other clutter that took the things fancy. Then Saun sees an ad on TV, exclaiming a place to put ''unexpected'' things. In the morning Saun took it to the tall black building who removed''Things''. The rude receptionist hands him a large stack of forms, that he finds hard to carry. Then out of nowhere, a creature who looks to be a janitor, suggests '' if you really care about that thing, you shouldn't bring it here'', and hands him a card. Magically, Saun and the thing transporr to a magial land. They go through many obstacles, gates and walls, until they finally make it to ''Thing Land''. It's full of other ''Things'' of all shapes and sizes. Saun sayshis fairwells to the Thing, and leqves Thing Land. The short film ends with Saun on a train, thinking about the thing. And then the credits roll in.
My intake on the film
The short film made for its book ''The Lost Thing'' was incredibly heartwarming. All the small details included intrigued any unsuspecting eye. The protagonist ''Sean'' , was the ''rainbow'' in a dull and bland world. He was the only one to notice the odd ''Lost Thing''. The film dipicts thetruemeaning on what's on the outside not the inside. The storyline fits well with the scene, and i thoroughly enjoyed viewing it.
