One of the first atttempt of intergration after Brown v. Board ruling.

George Wallace would be another propenent for segregation. In his famous 1963 inagural adress commenerating his appointment as Governor of Alabama Wallce would give the speech above calling for "Segregation Now, Segregation Later, Segregation forever. Wallace would later run for President in 1964,1968, and 1972.

In the 1995 film, Forest Gump. The main character is shown at the Little Rock Central High School in 1957.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower would call in the 101 Airborne of the Arkansas National to accompany Ernest Green, Elizabeth Eckford, Jefferson Thomas, Terrence Roberts, Carlotta Walls LaNier, Minnijean Brown, Gloria Ray Karlmar, Thelma Mothershed, and Melba Pattillo Beals.
