When all four children: Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, enter Narnia, they are crossing the threshold

Some of the children's allies are Mr. Tumnus, Mr. and Mrs. Bever, Father Christmas, and Aslan. Their enemy is the White Witch and her followers.

The approach is when the White Witch captures Edmund.

The children reach Aslan and he negotiates with the White Witch to get Edmund back.
