The Lion, the Witch and the Waldrobe

Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy are sent to stay with and old professor during a war. The house is a mansion and they explore the house, but during a game of hide and seek Lucy(the youngest of the four) discovers a magical cupboard that leads them to the land of Narnia. Soon enough they find themselves caught in a land that is frozen in winter by the White Witch. It soon becomes clear to them that they are supposed to fulfill a prophecy to put end to the everlasting winter, but can they destroy the white witch and end her reign over Narnia?

Setting

The Lion, the Witch and the Waldrobe is set in Narnia in around the mid 20th century. At the time Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter enter the waldrobe the land is frozen in a never ending winter.

Main Characters

The Main characters in the book are Mrs and Mr Beaver, Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy, The White Witch and Aslan.

Conclusion

I think The Lion, the Witch and the Waldrobe is one of the best childrens books, it is a classic and has been made into a movie. If you havn't read it before I reccommend it.
