Full name Pythagoras of SamosBorn in Samos, Greece 570 BCEDied in Metapontum, Italy 495 BCEStudied in Greece but traveled to Egypt to study under the Egyptian priests to learn more.Pythagoras was a very mysterious man and all of his students took vows of secrecy.No notes or writings were allowed in his class so most of his teachings are lost.

Pythagoras was a mathetician, philosopher, and scientist. He lived in ancient Greece and had a school in southern Italy. Pythagoras believed that everything in the universe could be explained by math. He was best known for his Pythagorean therum which says A2 + B2 = C2 which is one of the main theories of geomentry. He also taught that the Earth was a sphere at the center of the universe (which actually is not correct). He was also a musician and showed the mathematics of music.
