THE LETTER TO James

James: introduction "From James, a servant of God and of the lord Jesus Crist: Greetings to all God's people skattered over the whole world" James stated this as his first entry to the bible stating that people all over the world should hear about the great mericals that God did in his time.

This bible passage relates to my persinal life and experiences because it talkes about practical Christian living that reflects a genuine faith that transforms lives. So it mainly talkes about our own persinal lives for example I had a relative who was in the hospital for 2 weeks and was close death but my uncle was right beside his bed praying for him to survive and he got beter after the 15th day and survived a hart attack. That coinside's with chapter 5 verses 13-16.

Book of James: Chapter Summery. Chapter 1: James teaches believers to test their faith and “prove yourselves doers of the word” (1:22). James encourages believers to put their faith into action, and to be servants of Jesus Christ. Chapter 2-3: James describes the relationship between faith and works. He teaches that a person of faith without works demonstrates useless faith. He also teaches that everyone is a sinner and that if 1 of the 10 Commandments are broken, than that person is guilty of breaking every one of them, “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all” (2:10). Chapter 4-5: In these chapters James gives wise instruction to believers. He said, “Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you” (4:7). A faithful believer will desire to follow hard after God in service, obedience, and prayer. In the last chapter James stresses the weight and magnitude of prayer for every believer. He uses the word “Prayer” 7 times, signifying its importance.

First and last verses: "From James, a sevant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ: Greetings to all God's people scattered over the hole world" (1:1-2) "Remember this: whoever terns a sinner back from the wrong way will save that sinner's soul from death and bring about the forgivnessof any sins." 5:20

verses that "spoke to me" 1. "If we are tempted by such trails, we must not say, "This temptation comes from God." for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one". (1:13-14) This speaks to me because it shows how we blame God and others for evorything that gose wrong in our lives but God dousnot tempt others and cannot be taken by evil like you and I. 2. "My friends, as believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, you must never treat people in difforent ways according to their outward appearence."(2:1-2) This verse speakes to me because it shows how James is also fighting agaist racism and is showing his disiples that treating people difforently because of the colour of there skin is a sin and shall never be comited. 3. "Are eny amoung you in trouble? They should pray. Are eny amoung you happy? They should sing praises."(5:13-14) This verse speakes to me because it shows that on eny aspect in your life pray and conect to God.
