The Jazz Age

Louis Armstring was very well known.

This age was also known as the "Roaring Twenties". The Jazz age ended with the start of the Great Depression. It was called the Jazz Age because Jazz music became very popular in this time.

1920s youth used the influence of jaz to rebel against the traditional culture of previous generations.

Bessie Smith was the greatest blue singer of the time.
