The intesties are found in the digestive system, the GIT- human gastrointestinal tract, the Excretory system, and the Cardiovascular because blood is carried to the intestines.

The Intestines

Their job is to absorb most of the nutrients from what we eat and drink.

Diseases that can affect my organ are Intestinal obsruction which is when the intestines are blocked. The next disease is irritable bowel syndrome which affects the large itestine, its when you experience symptoms such as, cramping, gas, bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and constipation. Another diesease is celiac disease which is when the small intestine is hypersensitive to gluten, which makes it harder for you to digest food. One more disease im going to explain is Crohns diease, its an inflammatory disease of th intestines.

Most people can live without a stomach or large intestine, but its harder to live without a small intestine.

The organs work with other organs in this process... the Enzymes from your liver and pancreas break food down into its basic particles. Meats/proteins to animo acids, sugars to carbohydrates aqnd fats to fatty acids. The rest of your small bowel has miles of small bowel to digest

The Intestines size can very greatly from 15 feet to 32 feet. It is approximately 25-3 cm. in diameter. The large intestine is 4 punds and the small intestine is 3.5 pounds. The intestines are the organs that help digest food.
