Tacticle books were created for the blind by Valentin Hauy. However, the alphabetic script wasn't suited well for reading, because by the touch of the fingers it was slow to read.
The Sonography(Night Writing) was invented by Charles Barbier de la Serre. It was originally created for soldiers so they could communicate silently in the dark. In consisted of 12 raised dots.

The Braille (6 dots) was invented by Louis Braille. It is a tacticle writing system used by the blind.
The Braille Glove was originally created by Ryan Patterson who was 18 at the time. It was an idea that sparked after he saw a deaf person in Burger King struggling to place an order. He wanted to create an electronic method that would make it easier for people to communicate.
Maurice de la Sizeranne created a braille library which eventually expanded into a braille music library. He had a big interest in literature for the blind so he founded the Revue du Braille.

The glove has now evolved and the censers have been moved from the palm to the fingertips of the glove to make it easier for the motion waves to catch. The entire device is also now water proof.
