After Katniss is rescued from the arena by the rebels she agrees to be the symbol of the rebellion of being the Mockingjay. When the rebels rescue Peeta and the others from the Capitol it is learned that Peeta's memory had been waashed out into hating Katniss when he tries to kill her when he saw her for the first time after it. Katniss competes and battles throughout the story and overcomes everything.
Summary
Theme
The two main themes of the book Mockingjay are people are not always what they seem to be, and sometimes we have to act out of duty rather than do what we want to do.
Characters
There are multiple characters in the book, Mockingjay. The main character in my eyes is Katniss Everdeen. Another group of the big characters are Peeta Mellark, Gale Hawthorne, President Coin, President Snow, Haymitch Abernathy, Finnick Odain, Katniss's sister Primrose Everdeen, and Katniss's mother. This is stupendous group of characters to make up an amazing novel.
The setting of the book the Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins takes place at Panem, a futuristic country established across the remains of the beaten down USA. Panem contains the twelve districts and the capitol.
If I was to recommend this book to anyone it would anyone that is interested in lots of action and a different type of fantasy. I would give this book a very high rating because the details were so well and it was the perfect book for me.
