Joseph Campbell defined the actions that a story follows as the "Monomyth"The monomyth is comprised of three distinct parts; the dearture, the initiation and the return.Within these three parts there are seventeen unctions that can occur within the story.Take a look at the list of these functions and then watch the Harry Potter clip, can you identify any of the parts?
