A Family Durring the Great Depression
People hitchhiked on trains in groups or alone to find jobs across the country that thousands of people were applying for nation wide. Most of the people who rode the trains where from Oklahoma Arkansas (called okies and arkies)
The Great Depression began in the United States but quickly turned into a worldwide economic slump breaking the relationships that had been forged between the United States and European economies after World War I
