The Gospel According To Matthew

Three bible verses that speak to me:

Mt. 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."Mt. 22:37 "Love The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."Mt. 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

The Gospel According to

-there are 28 chapters-was guessed to be written between 80 and 90 A.D.-written in law, and parable forms-is the first book of The New Testament

-some themes in this book of the bible are as follows: *the birth of Jesus *Jesus is the promised saviour *parables(lessons)

First verse of the Gospel According to Matthew:Mt. 1:1 "An account of the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham."Last verse of The Gospel According to Matthew:Mt. 28:20 "and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Jesus was followed by two blind men, and they cried: "have mercy on us, son if David!" He entered a house, and the blind men went to him, and Jesus asked them if they believed that he could heal them. They said "yes, Lord", and he proceeded to touch their eyes, and their eyes were then opened. They could see. Jesus asked them not to tell anyone about the miracle he had performed, but they spread the news anyway. This story relates to me personally because I've always believed in the power of miracles. Although there are many miracles in the Bible, as well as in this book of the bible, I find that this is one of the more interesting ones because it's absolutely amazing what Jesus does. Also, I love when Jesus asked the men if they believed, because it seems like he used the power if their belief to heal them. This can imply that belief is all you need to achieve excellence.
