The Legislative Assembly declares war on AustriaMany European leaders started to fear that the revolution in France would reach them that Prussia and Austria threatened to use force to bring back Louis XVI to power again. Because of this threat, the legilative assembly declared war with Austria.

King Louis XVI calls the Estates GeneralAs the country of France was nearing a financial-collapse, Louis XVI was finally forced to call a meeting of the Estates-General to raise new taxes. This was the French parliament at the time and they haven't conducted a meeting since 1614.

The Tennis Court OathThe Tennis Court Oath is a sworn promise by the deputies of the Third Estate, that they will continue to have meetings until they had created a French Constitution.

Napoleon’s coup de' etat of the French governmentThe coup de' etat brought General Napoleon Bonaparte to power as First Consul of France. The coup d'état overthrew the Directory, replacing it with the French Consulate. This is seen by many French historians as the end of the French revolution.

Louis XVI is ExecutedA faction called the Mountain soon was able to win over the other factions that were fighting over the fate of the king. They persuaded the National Convention to execute Louis XVI by beheading him on the guillotine.
