Saint Matthew was called Levi before his calling to go to Jesus, in Mark chapter 2 and Luke chapter 5. Matthew was born in Palestine in the 1st century. St. Matthew was one of Jesus's 12 apostles. He wrote the first Gospel of the Bible's New Testament, called Matthew. Before he preached, he worked as a tax collector in Capernaum.matthews symbol is an angel

Saint Luke was born a Greek and Gentile in Antioch, Syria. He was a physician. Luke is the only Gentile who wrote books in the Bible. He was the writer of the third Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. Lukes symbol is an ox.

Saint Mark was born in Cyrene, Libya. He traveled with Saint Barnabas and Saint Paul on most of his missions.

Saint John was the son of Zebedee, and Salome. Matthew 4:21, 27:56; Mark 15:40, 16:1. They lived on the shore of the sea of Galilee.Saint john saw the baptism of Jesus after seeing this he evoted himself to following Jesus.
