The Data CenterGoogle and most of the webistes we use and take for granted are housed in very specially constructed and operted facilities. The data center of today is designed and built for maximum uptime and fault tolerance. The successful data center, whether Enterrpise or Colocation site, is a collaboration of the Facilites (power and cooling) and IT. I have worked in this industry for 27 years. Recently a close collegue and peer passed away. Ken Brill has been named the father of the modern data center. This weeks Glog is to educate and pay tribute.
