The colonists boycotted many British goods in order to show their disappropval of taxation without representation . Such goods were tea, sugar, and paper related items.

Numerous documents, composed by members of Congress and other Americans,helped to stregthen America's call for independence.

The Boston Tea Party, the dumping of cargos of tea into the Boston Harbor, clearly demonstrated America's discontent with Britain's taxation .

The Boston Massacre can be defined as an event in which upset colonists vented their anger by throwing sticks and stones at British troops stationed in Boston. The British harshly fired into the mob of colonists, killing five altogether.
