The Evolution of Toys

The Evolution of Toys

By Mikayla S.

Children of wealthy families usually had toys to play with like rocking horses and wind up toys.

Children didn't have much time to play; toys were limited to carved wooden toys and pieces of the environment turned into playthings.

Before 1800s

Toys were becoming more affordable and common, some popular toys were the yo-yo and the slinky.

It became a regular part of a child's lifestyle to have toys, things likefashion dolls and nerf guns were popular to have.

A large variety of toys are available around the world with different appeals. Toys can be based off movies, books, or a line encouraging children to "collect them all!!"
