The Candy Dissolving Experiment

tThe first plate of candy that started to dissolve when I first poured in the water was the hot water dish. Then the cold water, and last the room temperature water dish. The candy's color dissapeared before then whole candy did. at one point the cold water and the room temp. was close in dissolving that it was hard to tell which was dissolved more.ur text here....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Hypothesis

the Candy Dissolving expirement

my hypothesis is that the hot water will be the first dish of water with candy to dissolve fully. I think that the hot water will be first because the hot water will heat the candy causing the molecules inside to melt faster which will make the whole candy dissolve faster. I think that the second dish of water and candy that will fully dissolve will be the room temperature water. I think this because it is warm and it will eventually warm up the molecules inside the candy, and melt it. Finally i think the cold water will be the last to fully dissolve because the molecules inside the candy will freeze and get cold making the molecules not want to melt. which means that the candy will take a while to dissolve fully.

Observations

the hot water ended up being the first set of candy to dissolve fully, like i predicted. but the second candy to dissolve fully was the cold water. which i thought would be the last. finally the room temperature water dish was the last set of candy to fully dissolve. so i predicted that the hot water dish would be first, which i got right. but then i thought that the room temperature water would be the 2nd to fully dissolve, but i was wrong it was the cold water.

first get three cups and fill them up with 3/4 cups of water each. then refridgerate one of them for 5 to 10 minutes. also microwave another cup of water for 3 to 5 minutes. with the last cup leave that one out for 10 minutes to make sure its room temmperature. when all the cups are at the right temperatures, pour each of them into yhe 3 seperate dishes. right when you pour in the water start your stopwatch. after a while whichever candy dish seems to be fully dissolved lap the stopwatch and right down the time and which dish. do this for each of the dishes when they are fully dissolved. right down the times. and stop the stopwatch.
