The Book of Acts

28 Chapters from History in 34 AD

Dear Tehophilus: In my first book I wrote about all the things that Jesus did and taught from the time he began his work-Acts 1. 1He preached about the Kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ, speaking with all boldness and freedom- Acts 28. 31

I chose the story of pentcost because it reminds me of coming together and being united. For example Peter united with all those people and explained that the Holy Spirit is with them. This story shows unity and faith, many of these aspects that help me follow God's way. I can really relate because i know whenever i am upset i can trust in people around me just as those people trusted Peter.

Peter began to speak:"I now realize that it is true God treats eveyone on the same basis.- Acts 11. 34For this is commandment that the Lord has given us: 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, so that all the world may be saved.'"-Acts 13. 47They answered, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved -you and your family."- Acts 16. 31

Acts continusly emphasizes how faith in Christ is shared and supported through the Christian community

The story of Pentecost refers to the day when all the believers gathered in one place and tongues of fire came down enabling everyone to understand Peter's message in their own languages. They were all amazed at how they could all understand in their native languages and they were curious what this meant. But many of the people made fun of the believers claming that they were drunk.
