The Battle of The Alamo

The Battle of the Alamo was in 1836 and lasted from Feb 23 to March 6.

President of Mexico, General Antonio López de Santa Anna, was the leader of the Mexican troops that fought against the Texan soldiers.

The Battle of The Alamo

Once people heard about the slaughter at the Alamo, they decided to join the Texan forces to defeat Santa Ana.

One of the leaders on the Texan side was James Bowie who was originally sent to destroy the Alamo.

Another Texan Leader was William Travis, who became the sole leader after Bowie dies.

This contributed to the win at San Jacinto that ultimately led to the retreat of the Mexican forces.

All but two people defending the Alamo were killed.
