Sun TzuSun Tzu was born in the spring and autumn periods to a military family. His father and grandfathers told him many military srories. When he was alive their was always war between the 5 states which created an opotunity for him to become a general. the way he became a genersal was he trained a bunch of the kings protitutes and when they didn't listen to him he cut 2 of the kings favourites heads off and then thay listened

The Japanese were the first to study it but after them the French, Russians, Vietnamese and United States studied and used its strategies. In 1954 it was translated in to every major language and sold several thousand editions and you can get it as a PDF now.

Sun Tzu Teachings

Uses Today Today it is used in military schools. The CIA and U.S. military inteligence must read it people also use it outside the military for business, management, sports and politics. Executives and lawyers use its teachings to win negotiations and to win trials. Business school professors give the book to their students. Entrepreneurs and traders get guidance from it for controlling stock markets. People use it for relationships and self-dating guides. Coaches use it to win games. There are famous quotes in movies television programs and video games. Unbelievably, Tony Soprano, in the famous television show the Sopranos, told his therapist that he’d been reading the Art of War and then a mass ordering came in and Oxford University Press had to hand print 25’000 extra copies. Sun Tzu saying “a leader leads by example, not by force”, has meaning to me regarding friendship groups. The BookThe Art of War was written in the 4th and 5th century on bambo lats with 6000 Chinese characters about military warefare and there are 13 chapters about itsome of them are attack by fire and use of spies. In chapter 13,‘Use of spies’, Sun Tzu says to use spies in advance in enemy territory before the main army to scout out their strengths and weaknesses and location of the enemy’s armies, terrain and local population. After that any general can attack. Sun Tzu never wanted war. He recommended avoiding if possible but if you can’t the best way is to do it quickly. He believed that long wars were harmful even for the winner. Some of his teaching are The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting. Much of the Art of War reflects the beliefs and philosophies of Taoism. His teachings are the basis for many Asian martial arts philosophies.
