The AmazonReview

Is home to about 250,000 people. 50% of them live traditionally, depending on the rainforest for food and resources. Many are being forced from their homes and way of life by industrialization and deforestation. They are losing their culture and their way of life. The Indigenous people are aware of how to use different plants to cure many diseases; we are losing that knjowledge. Forced into cities, many of them live in poverty.

Today, much of the rainforst is being cleared for farming using Slash and Burn, which kills animals and eventually destorys the soil. The trees are being cut down for logging or in order to build more homes for the growing cities. Medical companies are harvesting a lot of plants from the rainforeset and destryong the habitat while they are doing so.

Location

The climate is very suitable for growing as it is warm and rains most of the year. This means that things grow quickly in the rainforest.
