The After Math
Of Pearl Harbor
President Franklin gave the speech “The Date Which Will Live In Infamy.” His speech was for American’s to confirm or make believe that we didn’t do anything wrong to cause the attack of Pearl Harbor. It was also for us to push past the problem.
The attack nearly destroyed 20 naval vessels, 8 battleships and about 200 airplanes. Also more than 2,000 men died and over 1,000 men were wounded.

Germany and Italy declared war on the United States. This made congress debate whether to stay neutral or to join their allies in war. Well the attack at Pearl Harbor basically decided that it was best to join the World War 2.
The isolationist and the intervetionist put their political differences aside and became one big group agreeing on joining the war
The Pearl Harbor attack was just a taste of what was yet to come throughout World War II.
