Spreading The Good News

Themes

SummaryOfAc 28:21-28

Paul tried to spread the words of God to a group of Jews in Rome. While few people listen to him, most of the people don't. Before they leave, he quotes the words from Isaiah 6:9-10, he states that some people with dull minds can not hear and see the truth with their ears and eyes open.

Bible relate to My own Life

It is ture that people believe what they see, but sometimes we need to think deeper and not making the statement too soon. I was once at home with my brother. After i finish my homework at 9 o'clock, I saw my brother watching TV on his bed. That is exactly the same as what I saw 4 hours ago. So I told mom that he watch TV for 4 hours, and he got a long lesson-about-life from mom. After that, I saw his finished home work at his table, and realized that he was watchig TV after finished his home work. I felt really sorry for him. Maybe I should understand my little brother a little more but not just make a rush decition from what I saw.

Verses that "speak to me"

"The sun will be darkened, and the moon will turn red as blood, before the great and glorious Day of the Lord comes. And then, whoever calls out to the Lord for help will be saved"(Ac 2:20-21).This passage tells me that Lord is our saver, who is among us and beyond us."They saw tongues of fire which spread out and touched each person there"(Ac 2:3).This passage describes how Holy spirit touched every one, and it also touches me. This show the great power of god and Holy Spirit."For he said, 'Go and say to this people: You will listen and listen, but not understant; you will look and look, but no see.'"(Ac 28:26)To follow God, we need not only our eyes and ears open, but also our mind and heart open to God.
