The 19th Amendment

No state can deny the right to vote on the basis of gender.

The 19th Amendment

Ratified on August 18th, 1920.

The 19th Amendment was part of the Women's Suffrage Movement.

Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton created the National Woman Suffrage Assosiation in 1869. Their goal was to earn the right to vote for women.

It took almost 100 years for women to get the right to vote.
