The Twilight ZoneThe Twilight zone is an american science-fiction/fantasy television seris created by Rod Sterling and was a popular tv seris for five seasons on CBS from 1959 to 1964.

The First Televised Presidential DebateThis was the first presidential debte ever to be shown on television between Jonh F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon.. This was the first real oppertunity for voters to see their candidates in competition.The televised debate had a significance impact on voters in 1960 more than half of voters say that the grate debates had influenced their opinion.

1960's Hot FashionThe 1960's had a lot of diverse trends boxed shaped PVC dresses and other PVC clothes were very popular. Jackie Kennedy introduced the pillbox hat and Mary Quant invented the mini skirt both becoming extremley popular. The hippie movement late in the decade had a strong influence on ladies clothing styles including bell bottom jeans, tie-dye, as well as paisley prints. Mens hot fashion was Mods and Rockers in 1964 the hot fashion trends were suits, ties, and slicked back hair.

The BeatlesThe Beatles were very popular in the 1960's and known as ''The British Invasion'' by the end of 1962 the British rock scene had started with beat groups like The Beatles drawing a wide range of american influences like soul music and the blues. In mid 1962 The Rolling Stones started as one of a number of groups increasingly showing blues influences.

Sharpeville Massacre in South AfricaThe Sharpeville Massacre occured on March 21, 1960 after a day of demonstrations of African- American protesters far outnumbered the police the South African police opened fire on the crowd killing 69 people. Sources say that some of the crowd was peaceful but other parts were hurling stones at the police, and the shooting had started when the crowd started advancing toward and around the fence of the police station, in present day South Africa March 21 is celebrated as a public holiday in honor of human rights.
