On June 25, 1951, CBS broadcasted the very first commercial color TV program.Sadly, many could not watch it due to the fact that most still owned a black-and-white television.
The 1950s was a revolutionizing decade. Inventions such as the colored TV, the seatbelt, velcro, and legos were all created in the 50s, inventions we still use today. More serious situations such as the Korean War, polio vaccine, the bus boycott, and Castro all occured as well.
The 1950s was a decade full of inventions, situations, and ideas that changed the way we live today. Looking back, this decade is definitely one that we will never forget.
