17.LA CANCIÓN COMO VEHÍCULO POÉTICO Y COMO CREACIÓN LITERARIA EN LA CLASE DE INGLÉS.TIPOLOGÍA DE CANCIONES. TÉCNICAS PARA EL USO DE LA CANCIÓN PARA EL APRENDIZAJE FONÉTICO, LEXICAL Y CULTURAL.

INTRODUCTION- Introduction in chapter I, Annex I, FLA in Order MArch 17, 2015 of Andalusia indicates that fl teachers will stimulate the use of contextualized language from different fields ensuring a realistic and motiving use of language.- Explain what we are going to see in this unit: types of songs, their use n english lessons.- A person hardly ever forgets a song. A song can carry you back into any past moment or smell.

1. SONG AS A POETIC VEHICLE AND LITERARY CREATION IN THE ENGLISH LESSON-Jakobson's definition of the poetic function of language: a text perfomrs the poetic function if it calls attention to its own form.- In songs it is done with lyrics, that often includes: RHYMES, DIVISION INTO STANZAS, IMAGERY WITH VOCAB, METAPHORICAL LANGUAGE.- Children's songs belong lo children literature and that sensitises ss in the poetic function of language (esthetic value of the language).- Songs play an important role as a bridge towards creativity. They're a vehicle of artistic expression.- Some mehodological procedures to use songs as a poetic vehicle and literary creation: STIMULUS FOR WRITING, REPEATING SONG IN CHORUS FOR FUN, PERFORMING, PART OF A PROJECT, WRITE DIALOGS WITH VOCAB OF THE SONG, SS CREATE ACTIVITIES, SELECT OR TRANSLATE? SONGS.- There are some more activities based on the typical tasks in which songs are present in real life: sing, whistle, hum, click finger, read about it, dance to them...- And some people: write lyrics and melodies, make video clips, write articles and surveys- LIP DUB.CHARACTERISTICS OF SONGS- They are part of everyday life.- Provide examples of everyday language.-Easy to find.-Fun, relaxing or stimulating.- Meaningful and functional learning (they see soon their effort).- Improve attention and lack of concentration.-Lighten the weight of more formal learning.- Create an atmosphere of closeness and cooperation, favour ss sense of self-consciousness, improve their self-esteem.-Reduce distance between teacher and ss.-Devellop creativity and imagination.- Provide ocassions for practising vocab, sounds, syntactic functions, rhythm, intonation.- Activate the repetition mechanisms and ss don't get bored.- Develop a positive attitude towards the process of FL learning. (motivating)- Facilitate comprehension and expression of simple oral and written texts.
