Video #1- This is a video that explains how a new thing called Haptography, it is the invention that she created at UPenn. It is something that creates a motion feeling of something that may not be in the room. The second thing she talks about is an accelermoniter. It is something that you can place on your teeth to detect any cavities or anything else as the dentist feels your tooth (she is getting the real feeling of your tooth), it then plays a motion video on the screen that shows you what is going on with your tooth as the dentist explains why this is happening as well as you can feel the touch track. This is going to be very helpful for upcoming dentists to use as practice to understand the field better, it helps them be much more precise. Video #2-In this video she wonders that if we change our body image; the feel of our skin, the smell of our body oder etc. she wonders if this could change they way we interact with others, meet sexual partners, the way we think about our selves and petray ourselves to the world. She created a pill that is internal perfume. The pill reacts when your body perspires and sweats. It shows that even when people are all sweaty and some would say "gross" there is still a way to a feel good about yourself.

Transforming the human body-society has yet to start using this pill, most people do not know about it, which if they did they may feel better about themselves Technology Of touch-society has yet to start using this invention, but it would be really useful if they did.-if society started using it it would benefit many people espicially online shopping comanies, the customers can feel the way everything is without having to go to the store.

Cultural Lag

Transforming the Human Body-This is an example of technology determinism. It is trying to push a new invention to benefit the rest ofour generation -With the accelermoniter, it will not only benefit the dentists, it will benefit us and or health.Technology of Touch-This is still on the same line as te technology is helping bring society together-it is helping people feel more comfortable in their own skin

Social vs. Technology Determinism

"When new innovations are created, people follow the trend" Hannah. I believe that this is related to both of my TED talks because when there are new and trendy invetions that come out, if it is in your field of interest you follow these trends. Once society comes along these new inventions I believe they will become much more helpful to us. "For example, elder people are forced to learn how to use computers when they didnt grow up with them" Estelle. I believe that this will be the case in our generation too. For things like the accelermoniter, even the dentists that have already been through universtiy and are off working should use this. It can help them broaden their knowledge in this area and only help the society in a positive way.

Video #1My question for this video is how are they going to make this accelermoniter known well enough and trusted enough that the rest of this field can use it and the next part of technology that can help this become a better tool. Video #2My question for this pill, is how do people know this is safe? Are their any healh precautions that peope need to know about before they use this?
