Throughout the 1960s and early 70s, Bundy repeatedily kidnapped, raped, and murdered young women. He would encounter them in public places, luring them to his car into concealed, dark places by displaying some type of obvious injury and asking for assistance.
In 1974, A woman named Carol DaRonch was kidnapped by Bundy but managed to escape by throwing herself out of his car. She went to the police and became one of the leading factors of his arrest.
On January 24, 1989, Bundy was was sentenced to death by the electric chair for the 1978 murder of 12-year-old Kimberly Leach of Lake City, whom he left dead under a collapsed hog shed.
Ted Bundy was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist and necrophile who assaulted and murdered numerous women in the 60's and 70's.
