1) Provide instructional resources to colleagues2) Specialize in an area of instruction and become the "instructional specialist" for other teachers3) Be a "curriculum specialist" by custominzing yourself with content standards and curriculum, components.4) Be a supporter in the classroom by helping to implement new ideas5) "Facilitate professional learning opportunities among staff members"6) Mentor novice teachers7) Be a leader in the school by serving on committees, supporting school initiatives, or acting as a liaison between the school and community8) Engage colleagues in conversation about how to analyze and use gathered data for effective instruction9) Be a "catalyst for change"10) Be a model learner by demonstrating lifelon learning, showing continual improvement, and using what you learn to help all students achieve(Harrisson & Killion, 2007, pg. 1)

- From their research Miller & O'Shea (1991) came up with four paths to tecaher leadership: 1) "leadership through expertise, 2) leadership through knowledge, 3) leadership through vision, 4) leadership through respect for children" (Lieberman & Miller, 2004, pg. 20)- Schon's research coined the term "reflective practice" ,eaning "...learning took place on the job, where people developed "theories in use" that were derived from their own experience in practicig their craft" (Lieberman & Miller, 2004, pg. 21)- Lave & Wenger (1991) brought forth a social theory of learning resting on three processes--"learning, meaning, and identity--that occur side by side in communities of practice in which social practices are espoused and enacted. They proved that learning is both cllective and social (Lieberman & Miller, 2004, pg. 22)
