Requires:-An interest in nature and animals-Artistic ability-Patience-Detailed Orientation-Ability to work with your hands

Workplace:-Most Taxidermists are self employed -Usually work long hours-Many hazards such as cuts, scrapes from sharp tools and exposure to hazardous chemicals

Job:-study and sketch the anatomy of an animal-Skin the animal, preserve the skin(using sharp knives and scalpels and harsh chemicals)-Use clay or styrofoam to make an exact replica of the animal-sew the seams of the fur, after on the animal-Add glass eyes and other finishing touches

Average Earnings:$15,000 - $60,000 a yearDepending on the location and experience taxidermists can make up to $100,000 a year.
