The Taiga forest is a predominantly coniferous forest and also known as the Boreal Forest. They are also more susceptible to wildfires.
The average temperature of the Taiga is below freezing 6 months out of the year. Winters °temp. range is 65°-30°F. In the summer it ranges from 20°-70°F.
The total annual rainfall is 30-85cm (12-33in) in the form of rain, snow, and dew. Most rainfall happens during the summer time.
In the Taiga there are primarily two types of soil one having rick deposits of minerals and one being rocky near the mountainous region.
