Chacconne is believed to be written by Bach for his wife

Bach passed away on July 28th, 1750 in Leipzig, Germany. Bach is considered one of the greatest Western composers of all time.

Bach was born in a town named Eisenach in Thuringia, Germany on March 21, 1685.

Johann Christoph, Bach's older brother who took him in, showed Bach musical instruction and put him in a local school staying with his brother's family until he was 15 years old.

In tribute to the Duke of Brandenburg, Bach created a series of orchestra concertos, which became known as the "Brandenburg Concertos," in 1721. These concertos are considered to some of Bach's greatest works along with Tocatta and Fugue in d minor, Bach's most famous piece for the organ

Surprisingly, Bach was not only known as a composer, but was better known as an organist during his time.

Bach originally started by being an organist at the New Church in Arnstadt and at the Church of St. Blaise in Mühlhausen. While playing the organ, Bach enjoyed creating different arrangements but the pastors did not like his music in the church because it was too complex.

He was the father of 13 children

His chorale harmonizations and fugal works have been adopted as models for new generations of musicians since the 18th century
