Sulfur

"What's that smell?"

Sulfur dioxide is formed when sulfur is burned in the air and is used as a bleaching agent, a disinfectant, and as a solvent. Sulfuric acid is commonly used for phosphate fertilizers, separating metals from oils, and lead-acid batteries.

Hydrogen sulfide is a gas that smells like rotting eggs.

Sulfur dioxide can also be combined with water to form sulfurous acid, which is a weak acid that is found in acid rain.

Here are some videos of Sulfur reacting!

Sulfur is found in some fertilizers.
