Styx is an American rock band formed in 1970 in Chicago, Illinois. The band started off as "The Tradewinds and changed to Styx after being signed into Wooden Nickel Records. Their musical styles range from arena rock, prog-rock, hard rock, and soft rock. They have sold over 35 million albums worldwide

Some of Styx's influences are The Beatles, Paul McCartney, and Yes. Their Guitarist, James Young, revealed that Yes was an early influence on their music
