stimulants are a psychological drugs that raises levels of physiological or nervous activity in the body
short-term effects of stimulants include exhaustion, apathy and depression. Its this immediate and lasting exhaustion that leads the stimulant drug user to want the drug again. Soon they're not trying to get “high” but trying to feel some type of energy.
Stimulants can be addictive. Repeated high doses of some stimulants over a short period can lead to feelings of hostility or paranoia. These doses may also result in dangerously high body temperatures and an irregular heartbeat.
Psychological effects: agitation, hostility, panic, aggression, and suicidal or homicidal tendencies. Paranoia, sometimes both auditory and visual hallucinations
Physical side effects: dizziness, tremor, headache, flushed skin, chest pains with palpitations, excessive sweating, vomiting, and abdominal cramps.
