In his song, "Higher Ground", he shows his attitute towards todays problems, and shows that having CONFIDENCE and LIVING DELIBERATELY with a purpose can only get you through.

Transcendentalism: philosophy based upon the doctrine that the principles of reality are to be discovered by the study of the processes of thought, or a philosophy emphasizing the intuitive and spiritual above the empirical.

Stevie finds a beautiful reflection of transcendentalism in the Christian faith, with a funky-soul rhythm that invigorates our spirits to dance and praise through trials and tribulations.

Stevie was born blind as a child, and many believed that he couldn't succeed.But Stevie could see something others could not.He didn't CONFORM to the idea of being blind.

Nothing can stop me!

Thesis:Stevie Wonder stays positive and looks through obstacles knowing that there IS a way; no matter how hard it would be to acheive it.

Transcendentalism:the concept of self-reliance, free thought, and simplifying life, that ultimately leads you to a Higher Ground!

Lessons of life were also clearer to him. It enabled him to LIVE DELIBERATELY.
