Stephen Hawking

Stephen William Hawking was born in January 8, 1942 in Oxford, England. He began college when he was just 17 years old. Originally he wanted to study mathematics, yet due to the lack of a program his university had, he decided to go on and study physics instead. Soon after his 21st birthday, Stephen was diagnosed with a motor neurone disease called ALS. He wasn't given much time to live, yet to this day he is still among us. He now requires a wheelchair and can only talk using a device which picks up the movements of his cheek. Even with these handicapps, Stephen Hawking is still looking into black holes and writing research papers. His life long dream is to make it into space. He still hopes to get there one day.
