Coal Powered Trains

The coal powered train was invented by Richard Trevithick.
The coal powered locomotive was need to transport goods, passengers, and mail to different places around the country.
The advantage to using coal locomotives is that they travel faster then on foot and can handle multiple cars and freight.
These trains are still used today but have been changed dramaticlly. Instead of running on coal or wood, they now run on desiel, a stronger source of fuel, and can carry 3x the maximum load of a regular train.
