St. Matthew
St. Matthew was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, and one of the four evangalists. After being a tax collector for the Roman empire in ancient Israel, Matthew followed the teachings of Christ and became one of his closest followers. He witnessed the ascension, and was one of the first people to see Jesus after the ressurrection. After the ascention, he continued to spread Jesus' word, and wrote the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew's feast day is September 21st, and he is the patron saint of bankers, because of his tax collecting past.
