Spring Hare

Spring Hare

Scientfic Name- Pedetes, which means kind of rodent.

The Spring Hare is located in Southwestern Africa. It is 14 inches in length and is 6 to 8 lb. The Spring Hare is native to eight african countries. The Spring Hares eat mostly plant matter, so they are herbivores. They live up to eight years. Spring Hares mostly live in dry savannas. Their Genastation period is usually 2-3 months. Their Predators are Serval cats, caracals, wild cats, genets, mongooses, ratels, jackals, large owls.

The Spring Hare are losing habitat space and are mostly killed as pests. They live in steppes and dry savannas of Kenya and Tanzania as well as in Southwestern Africa. They live in plain areas such as rocks or bushes.
