Spanish-American War

To the right is an image copy of the Platt Amenment.The plat amendment stated that seven conditions for the withdrawal of United States troops remaining in Cuba at the end of the Spanish–American War, and an eighth condition that Cuba sign a treaty accepting these seven conditions.

The picture to the right is of the American Samoa islands. These islands were taken over by the US, adding 76 square miles to America.

The picture to the left is of Guam, an area the United states took over during the Spanish-American war.Guam is 212 square miles.

The picture to the left is of The Philippines,an area the US took over. They were restricted to a certain zone which was unsanitary causing thousands to die This added 115,600square miles.

Above is an image of Puerto Rico, an area taken over by the US during the spanish American war. Puerto Rico added 3,435 square miles to the US
