Space Technologies

The space shuttle was a reusable low orbital spacecraft sysem operated by the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administation(NASA). It's a official name was Space Transportion System, taken from a 1969 plan for a system of reusable spacecraft. They were used on a total of 135 missions from 1981 to 2011, launched from the Kennedy Space Centre(KSC) in Florida.

Space Shuttles

Space Rover

A Rover is a space exploration vehicle designed to move across the surface of a planet or other celestial body Some rovers are designed to transport members of the human spaceflight crew; others are partially or fully an autonomous robot.

InternationalSpace Station

The International Space Station(ISS) is a space station launched into low-earth orbit in 1998. The habitable artifcial satellite has been occupied since November 2nd 2000 and still is and still plans to be.

Space

Sputnik

Sputnik 1 was the first satalite launched into space from earth, It was a 58cm diametre polished metal sphere with four radio antennas to broadcast radio pulses. The Soviet Union launched it on the date Oct.4 1957

Satellite

There are two types of satellites; natural satellites, and artifcial satellites. A Natural satellite is a non-man-made object orbiting around another planet, like the moon orbiting earth, or earth orbiting the sun. A Artifcial satellite is a man-made object purposely launched into space for pacific reasons, and orbits a planet(most likely earth.).

Hubble Space Telescope

The Hubble Space Telescope(HST) is a space telescope launched into low earth orbit in 1990, and is still operational. The HST four main instruments observe in the near ultraviolet, invisible, and near infrared spectra. Hubble was named after the astronomer Edwin Hubble.

Astronauts-Manned Missions

Astronauts or Cosmonauts are people who have received training from the Human Spaceflight Program to pilot, command or serve as a crew member to a spacecraft. The first human in space was Yuri Gagarin, launched aboard Vostok 1, on April 12th 1961. He orbited around Earth for 108 minutes

Telescopes

There have been many types of telescopes over the years. From telescopes that helped the pirates(lol) to the telescopes today which some help us veiw the stars. They make objects from far away seem much closer(range depending on the telescope.).
