Space Suits:All About Them

Do you think space suits are comfortable? Why or why not?

The main parts of the space suit are the backpack, the SAFER, the helmet, the chest part, and the legs and feet part. The backpack holds oxygen. The SAFER has several mini jets that can blast you back to the ship. The helmet protects the head. The chest part protects the arms, chest, and hands. The legs part protects your legs and feet.

What are the main parts of a space suit? How do they work?

No, but outside the spaceship, you do because if you don’t, you will be exposed to extreme cold and heat, radiation, and unconsciousness.

Do astronauts have to wear space suits all the time? Why or why not?

What are some safety measures that are built into space suits?

Some safety measures that are built into space suits are oxygen tanks, a communication system, and the strong space suit materials.

I think space suits are uncomfortable because they are very bulky and I don’t like bulky clothes.

If you were living on the ISS for 5 months, what would you miss the most, and why?

If I was on the ISS for 5 months, I would miss my dog the most because my dog is so cute, friendly, and cuddly and if he could come to outer space with me, he would.
