Southeast Native Americans

The Southeast hunted animals like; Rabbits, wild hogs, turkeys, eagles, opossums, raccoons, squirrels, fish and deerHere are some of the foods that the Southeast grew. Corn, beans, dried fruit, pumpkins and nuts. Basically, the Southeast were Hunters, Fishers and farmers.

Food and Dances

The Southeast Native Americans lived in Wattle and Daub houses. They made these houses by weaving river cane and wood into a frame. The roofs were made of grass and bark.There are many different beliefs they had but I will only name a few. The Iroquois tribe thought that everything had a spirit. And the Yuchi tribe had ceremonial dances.

Belifs and Houses

The Southeast Native Americans were located east of the Mississippi River. Their location is now known as Florida, North Carolina and, South Carolina.Many tribes lived in the Northeast. Some of them are...Natchez, Yuchi, Caddo, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek and Seminole. These tribes where considered the most famous in the Southeast.
