Soil Texture Test for Gardens

Soil is made up of sand, silt, clay, and organic matter. The percentage of sand, silt, and clay determine the soils texture.

Having the proper soil texture is important for plant growth. Here in Arizona we struggle with a soil that is not well suited to many plants. By testing and adjusting the soil texture we can improve how our gardens grow.
