SOIL POLLUTION
Is the contamination of soil with harmful substances that can adversely affect the quality of the soil
Pollution can be the result of an accident or carelessness, or done on purpose through illegal dumping.
Why is soil so important?
Soil is a vital part of the natural environment. It is just as important as plants, animals, rocks, landforms, lochs and rivers. It influences the distribution of plant species and provides a habitat for a wide range of organisms.
Soil pollution can result from contaminated water absorbing into the soil. Agricultural chemicals can coat the soil
SOLUTION
You must first clean the large waste ground, avoid contact with chemicals and substances that could damage the soil.
Then prevent pollution by maintaining a green cover of plants and grass on soil.
